A Tribe Called Quest new album!

"We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

This is good news, thanks for sharing. I hope Ali Shaheed is heavily involved in the production.

Upon my first listen of the snippets the morning of it's release, I immediately purchased it on iTunes and have been rocking it all weekend. When I say that this album is a huge BREATH OF FRESH AIR!!!! music Vintage ATCQ but with an updated sound. I love, love, love that they stayed true to their style and didn't stoop low to sound like the awful rap garbage that is trendy right now. ATCQ has always been pure hip hop and its great to see that they still haven't missed a beat all these years. nod The only thing I will say is, on a couple of tracks on the album, Busta Rhymes sound like he needs to clear his throat or something. lol He appeared with the group during ATCQ's performance on SNL this weekend and yeah...Busta has eaten one too many cheeseburgers. lol Dude is huge.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yo, this album.....is SOOOOO Goddamn good! I didnt know what to expect, but this shit blew me away! I figured it would be "pretty" good, but not fantastic like it is! My favorite so far is "Conrad Tokyo".

Get in your mouse, and get out of here!

Black Spasmodic is my happy place this week. It was nice seeing them with Chappelle on SNL. Not a lot of Ali Shaheed on the album from the looks of it neutral

More like 1993 to me, when Midnight Mauruders > Buhloone Mindstate. Nevertheless, LONG LIVE THE NATIVE TONGUES!!!!!!

Lol was considering making a thread here bitching about the lack of a thread about the new album and low and behold I find this one which I'd apparently already clicked on as well!

Anyway I haven't really got around to listening to this properly in one sitting yet but I've heard all the tracks and am really enjoying it, it's great to have one last album from them and it seems so far like a stronger closer to their legacy than The Love Movement. It feels quite different from what they did before while still being identifiably Tribe, which is refreshing, they haven't tried to pretend that the last twenty years of hip-hop never happened but they still seem to have kept the ethos of the group alive. Looking forward to spending more time with it.

I heard some snippets late yesterday. I'm buying it ASAP. It(they) all sounded good but Phife was really killing it on one snippet that i heard. Haven't been this enthusiastic about a Hip Hop record in a long time.

RIP.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

Excellent new album! Already rated at 89 on Metacritic! Their performance on SNL was fire!

Just got my physical copy last night from Best Buy.

Nice cd. I didn't realize it's been 18 years since their last release.

I love The Space Program, We The People, Solid Wall Of Sound, Dis Generation,

Melatonin, and The Donald. Tribe just picked up where they left off and this is

actually a better effort than 1998's The Love Movement. Phife Dawg R.I.P went out

in style.
