The put out an entire covers album a year before "Summer Breeze" came out.

Rudolph was the such the coolest cat. If you didn't know he was
part of the Isleys you would have thought he was a pimp.

Well, he might have actually been a pimp. A few back then were. Ol buddy from the Whispers, Johnnie Taylor and Guitar Watson. And who knows who else.

He's also a good vocalist too.

CoolMF

Dope. On a related note, the reason that I love 3 + 3 the most is the last part of the album- Summer Breeze going into Highways of My Life.

Thanks for posting this.

Songs like these are rarely written any more...

I agree and it is so sad! Not much feeling in some of this "newer" music. These days it seems to be all about sales and popularity instead of quality. I say thank god for other outlets like YouTube, Sirius XM, Pandora, etc. just to name a few to hear this great old school music. I think it is the best. biggrin

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
