Mick Jagger Expecting Baby Number 8...

Mick Jagger Expecting Baby Number 8 With Ballerina Melanie Hamrick

07/14/2016 AT 08:41 PM ET

Congratulations are in order for Mick Jagger.

The Rolling Stones co-founder, 72, is expecting a baby with his girlfriend of two years, ballerina Melanie Hamrick, U.K. newspaper The Sun reports.

This will be baby number one for the 29-year-old dancer, who has not offered any details on the pregnancy. Jagger is already father to seven — Georgia, James, Jade, Elizabeth, Lucas, Karis and Gabriel — with his oldest being 45 and his youngest 17.

Welcoming babies in life seems to be more common among Rolling Stones band mates, as Ronnie Wood welcomed twin girls — his fifth and sixth children — at the end of may.

Jagger has not publicly commented on the exciting news.

eek eek eek I'm still hoping to be around if and when my son ever decides to have a kid. And I'm younger than Prince was. razz lol I think the Stones must be some kinda vampires at this point! But, I do like hearing about new life in 2016 instead of more deaths...

I guess for all the women out there that only care about $$, there are just as many men looking to marry a woman young enough to be their daughter. Add Prince to that list of men.

No one should do that to a child, it's just not right. Having a child at that age is so unfair to them, knowing full well, that odds are, you aren't even going to be around to see a child grow into adult hood, or will be able to be the kind of father a child needs physically. Just because you are still able to make a baby, doesn't mean you should.

No but I do think celebrities tend to move on quickly from break ups, divorces, etc faster than we do.

Suicide is fucked up - I have first hand experience.

I don't think judging anyone on those effects is appropriate

He might be famous - but he is still a human-being with his own emotions and demons...

I ain't no fan of his - just another human - none but him, knows what impact that has on him

Damn - if he was on benefits...he'd be cussed...he's got enough to provide a future...and he still gets cussed

Too much gavel...

Yes. Because it's all about him. Who cares about the kid, who has to live a with a great grandfather as a dad or no dad at all. It's disgusting.

Exactly. It's thoughtlessness and selfishness to the max.

I disagree. When your dad is Mick Jagger, it really don't matter how old he is. The child will have every advantage in life, live a life most of us could only dream of, and I'm sure s/he'll be proud to say who his/her dad is, even if he is older than most.
