Favourite Rick James songs?

Just thought it'd be interesting to see what people's favourite Rick James' songs are?. I know a few of his biggest hits, but not really that familiar with most of his stuff.

We're here, might as well get into it.

Agree with most of these, but will add his later gem Turn It Out from Urban Rhapsody. That cut is back fo the old, classic funk. Don't think anyone mentioned 17 yet. But Bustin' Out is probably my all-time fave. A lot of the others like Give It to Me Baby, Ghetto Life, Mary Jane, You and I, etc. were just too played into the ground for me. Oh yes, one more I really dig is the long version of Standing on the Top with the Temptations. Sing!

If you've got funk, you've got style.

Cheers guy's, I just ordered the Anthology 2cd. Notice it still misses a few songs on here, and no "ghetto life" , which is kind of annoying. But should cover most basis

Super Freak

Ghetto Life

You & I

Rick could funk with the best of 'em and he was one of the best Quiet Storm/balladic songwriters too. Rick James deserves major props for sure.

as big as a prince fan as i always was, i considered rick a guy who had all the talent prince did but not the same drive or discipline. always thought that.
