In a message on his official website, he reveals that the song, which he wrote a few years ago, "was, in part, inspired by Muhammad Ali's life and struggles." Gabriel explains that "at the time of [Ali's] death, when so many people are celebrating his life and thinking about all he achieved, it seemed the right time to release it."

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

New Peter Gabriel Blu-ray/DVD Set
Aug 08. 2016

A pair of Peter Gabriel concert videos that came out in the early 2000s are being packaged together in a Blu-ray/DVD set that will be released on September 16.

Growing Up Live + Still Growing Up Live & Unwrapped will feature a Blu-ray disc containing the acclaimed singer/songwriter's 2003 video Growing Up Live, the 2005 feature Still Growing Up Unwrapped as well as a previously unreleased 2004 documentary called Growing Up on Tour -- A Family Portrait, and a DVD edition of his 2005 concert flick Still Growing Up Live.

Growing Up Live boasts high-def performances from two May 2003 concerts Gabriel played at an in-the-round venue in Milan, Italy, during his 2002-2003 world tour in support of the 2002 album Up.

Still Growing Up Unwrapped, which originally was released together with Still Growing Up Live, was a film directed by Gabriel's daughterAnna.

It takes a behind-the-scenes look at her father's 2004 Still Growing Up trek. Anna also directed the Growing Up on Tour -- A Family Portrait documentary that focuses on both the Growing Up and Still Growing Up outings.

Still Growing Up Live includes various performances Gabriel played during his 2004 tour, which visited smaller venues than his previous trek did.

Blu-ray and DVD included in the Growing Up Live + Still Growing Up Live & Unwrappedrelease both will feature bonus performances.

Meanwhile, a two-DVD reissue of Still Growing Up Live & Unwrapped also will be released on September 16.
