Lifetime Original Film ‘The Michel’le Story’ is coming soon

I guess since she felt she was overlooked in Straight Out of Compton movie, she had to get her own story told.

Rhyon Nicole Brown (Lincoln Heights) is set to star in the Lifetime original film The Michel’le Story (working title) as the R&B artist Michel’le Toussant. The biopic will revolve around the life of Michel’le who was discovered at a young age by N.W.A’s Eazy-E and became a platinum artist on Ruthless Records. She was also the girlfriend of Dr. Dre for 6 years, the mother of his son Marcel Young, and is one of the many women who have spoken out publicly about being a victim of his physical abuse and domestic violence. Michel’le has given detailed accounts of how Dre broke her ribs, and sent her to the hospital countless times. “I was just a quiet girlfriend who got beat on and told to sit down and shut up.” The Michel’le Story will be the first time that she reveals her entire truth to the world. Most recently, Michel’le was one of the stars on TV One’s reality series R&B Divas: Los Angeles

Curtis Hamilton has been cast to portray Dr. Dre, and R. Marcos Taylor, who starred as music executive Knight in Straight Outta Compton, will reprise his role in The Michel’le Story.

The Michel’le Story will be produced for Lifetime by Sony Pictures Television and Thinkfactory Media. Leslie Greif will serve as executive producer, and production will begin next month.

Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Tell me how in the hell Monifah is getting an Unsung episode. She had one hit
I barely remember but liked. God bless her but unless she had another hit that
missed my ears I just don't know if she has a body of work to justify an hour
episode.

A Michel'le movie on lifetime???? lol i mean, at least miki howard has 8 or 9 albums in her discography. Michel'le only has one that i can think of. Shes just kind of a weird choice, especially for lifetime.

like i posted above its her basically trying to ride the coat tail of the move Straight Out of Compton, since she was not mentioned in the movie.

I watched a video clip of the actress and I wonder if she's going to do Michel'le's speaking voice because her voice is relatively deep compared to Michel'le's.

I can't believe they're making TV movies on singers who only had a few hit singles smile

Seems like it's the new Lifetime hustle. Mediocre made for tv biopics of R&B singers. Soon they'll probably have movies for Monifah, KeKe Wyatt, Adina Howard and CeCe Penniston.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I know that bruh but since you were bringing up why other well
known female artists haven't gotten a biopic before Miki Howard I just
brought up that tidbit rather than start a new thread.
