Am I the only one who finds Drake completely talentless?

Like, no talent. Zero talent, none, nada, nicht!!

He's so woebegone and tragic.

You know what I do when I have a Drake song in my playlist? I put it just before a Radiohead song so when I hear it, his annoying Lil Waynish voice will cause a deep, melancholic atmosphere of depression and then Radiohead will alter it a bit.

What's so fucking special about DRAKE? Fucking DRAKE? IS HE A RAPPER? He sings all the time in a very intimidating way!? Does he play an instrument? Does he produce?

His dancing is funny though, so to me Drake is no less than a laborious comedian.

lol If you asked me this 5 years ago I'd have a different answer. I was absolutely obsessed with him for years. Saw him about 6 times in one year, VIP for my birthday, everything. His early stuff is actually really good. Then he joined young money and it went downhill from there, Lil Wayne ruined him imo. But he's still nice to look at love lol

From now on, 4 U I shall be wild 💜

So, I heard this morning he broke another Billboard record with all the songs off of his just released album charting in the the Top 40 or something. So he broke the record Beyonce set last week? What's up with all this shit about one artist charting 38 songs in one week? Back in my day, it was a huge deal for an artist to have two songs in the Top 40 at the same time.

Right? Everyone's just breaking records... and everybody sounds like a broken one too.

Too much repetitive shit in the charts at the moment, dull, cheesy songs. Whatever happened to good pop songs? Once upon a time I used to hate the fact that Demi Lovato has a song in the top 10 but I actually realised how rare was that. Now every rapper with something special (A special name, a special tooth, a special eyelide...) can have a number one hit. The teenagers are basically obssessed with this kinda emerging culture. It's cute to see that, to see them fascinated with new things, but one s(c)hould hear a lot of genres and expand his territory.

Back to the subject, so y'all agree that Drake is famous cause he's a Canadian tall, handsome guy with a voice like Lil Wayne's (A bit cuter) and... can sell records?

He's a very good songwriter. Passable singer, though his placement need work. His rapping is interesting because he raps legato a lot, and I know his vocal coach helped with that and how he'll pitch even his raps to the key of the music. I have respect for him as a musician.

If you are a fan of his or not a fan of his, you have Kanye's album 808s & Heartbreaks to thank or blame. His whole career was based off of that album imho. Time to move on and experiment Drake.

Definitely not the only one. Rap is my favorite genre and always has been. I DO like mainstream Rap. And I do keep up with it. There's a lot of good stuff out now but to me Drake's music is not some of it. Actually I hate Drake. I've been knowning his music since 2009 and never once have I liked anything I've heard from him. I don't really like his personality either. To me it seems like he's one of those guy's who thinks it better than a lot of people.

I have always found Drake overrated but he does have some catchy songs but I still am not crazy enough to pay money for it but I do respect that his success seems pure and not manfactured like the others. His latest album sold over a million copies in like 2 or 3 days beating out Beyonces Lemonade so he is very popular and deserves his success. He dropped the album with no big publicity attached to it. As far as him being talentless, all the pop stars of today are all mediocre outside of Bruno and Adele. Although she is not as talented as those two, Rihanna has the strongest catalog out of her peers.

i tried to hate this kid, at first.....i remember when he was Wheelchair Jimmy on Degrassi High...when he first popped off people (myself included) hated him because they denounced his "hiphop credibility" because he was a biracial jewish Nickolodeon actor, and didnt look , act or seem like an authentic rapper that hiphop fans were used to...but starting with his first mixtape, "Comeback Season" and up until now, he has gone from a mixtape rapper to an outstanding songwriting lyricist, with a catchy flow/delivery(even if he does use auto-tune)...he knows how to make hit records without completely sacraficing the art... yeah, he still at times comes off as a cornball, but i cant front on his music...the boy is nice with it...

I remember first hearing bout Drake when he was dropping mixtapes and was part of Weezys Young Money clique so he's certainly come along way since them days. I got no issue with Drizzy, dudes getting paid and his music isn't what I'd call unlistenable. I much prefer old school hip hop - Pac, Biggie, Run DMC, Gangstarr, Public Enemy, Cube, Ice T et AL so his music isn't really my thing but I don't begrudge him his success and I'm all for people doing their thing and succeeding in their chosen field.

Drake has basically become a pop star (and not in the sense that he's so popular as a rapper that he crossed over in that fashion) and I can't get into a lot of his music but the dude is far from talentless. He can write, produce and rap when he really wants too. It would be nice if he just went the R&B route but he can't sing that well and honestly, while his persona suits that of an R&B singer more, his softer music for the most part is boring.

He's not as talented as he is popular but he's made some good music and nowhere near talentless, which is a massive exaggeration. His major weakness (besides the ones mentioned above) is his inability to craft a cohesive album.
