Any idea when the album is coming out?

Radiohead have finally announced their ninth album. The follow-up to 2011's The King of Limbs is out digitally this Sunday, May 8, at 7 p.m. UK time (2 p.m. Eastern time), and physically June 17. It's being released via XL Recordings. The album title has not been revealed yet. Earlier this morning, Radiohead teased their second new video in the space of a week, following Tuesday's "Burn the Witch." Now, they've shared the clip for new single "Daydreaming" in full. ("Daydreaming" is also available now on streaming services.) Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, it features Thom Yorke, looking unsettled, opening lots of doors that lead to various locations, including a hospital, a laundromat, and a grocery store.

BTW, the "Daydreaming" video seems really sad...

Damn, "Present Tense" is fantastic. I remember seeing his solo acoustic premiere of it years ago and it was one of the most heartwrenching performances I have ever seen.

I need the VINYL ASAP...

But, on the first listen, Presente Tense and Desert Island Disk are haunting!

Daydreaming is also cool.

I haven't really watched it while clearly listening to the lyrics, but I thought that Thom wanted to leave civilization behind and hide alone in a cave. Quite literally.

I think there's a lot og input by Jonny Greenwood in this, right? All those hauting strings...

Yes but I wonder why so many doors? Felt like Inception at some point.

Burn The Witch is by far my least favorite off the album... But other tunes are very diverse and I guess they shifted the emphasis toward more ambient sounds.

i've decided to just start from the top again. it's so beautiful and shimmering.

it's what i imagine radiohead would have sounded like if they'd been releasing
albums in the 60s.

I think I'll need a up-to-date hifi system just for this. I feel the way I'm listening now doesn't reveal there is.

Oh boy, that insane "broken hearts / make it rain" bridge on "Identikit"... and the guitar "solo". Jonny Greenwood is insane.

this is the only song i was dreading because i never liked the live versions too much.

but it turned out to be a great thing they did with it. love thom's vocals too.

i never did in fact, i disliked it so much that i was hoping it wouldn't be on this album.
i kept hoping they'd forgotten all about that song but i'm glad they didn't. it's not even as

if it's THAT different, but somehow i can stomach it now, in fact, i really love it
