It's decent, particularly the first half. If I was being cynical I'd say it does feel like a bit of a forced effort to put out something 'mature' and 'grown up'. It sort of plays like a bit of a tick box exercise, sounds a bit like Miguel - check! Frank Ocean- check! The Weeknd-check! I happen to like all those artists though and if you do too, you'll likely get something out of this. At the very least it'll fill in time till the DVSN album next week and the Gallant album the week after that. | |

I heard a couple of tracks I like. I'm very shocked how good they are. Whoever produced it did a good job. Believe me I did not want to like it, but I heard a couple tracks and they are good. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It! | |

Sampled it with my morning coffee, and I was pleasantly surprised. He seems to have good taste, and mostly good instincts. Too bad he's a total bore to watch. He seems to just stand there and look pretty. He should get out of the mind of his and engage the audience. Or at least emote. "That's when stars collide. Pillowtalk is definitely one of the singles of the year. Nothing else I've heard from it has really grabbed me. Though he is foine. |
