Can't you just tell us the real story now? I feel like you're sitting there waiting for it all to spill, just tell us, then we can know if were on the same page or not.

Yeah. This is just such a dissapointed to all us REAL Michael fans, who were there for him when SONY were after that catalogue. 750 million? Are they fucking kidding me, worse deal in history. Michaels 50 % in the ATV/SONY is worth much more than that. Not going to buy more SONY albums. I'll get it on TIDAL or other ways. Phuck SONY and PHUCK THE ESTATE. I still appreciate the effort they've put, to work creatively with the documentaries and cirque de solei etc, but as far as some business ventures, it seems the estate hasn't always made the best decisions (MICHAEL ALBUM, NEVERLAND RANCH, and now this) - feels like Branca and em' are tired and just want fast cash. It was NEVER about the money for most of us fans, at least for the ones I know. It was about the RESPECT and POWER that Michael held as a BLACK AMERICAN, who've always been the leaders and creators of MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT, but NEVER EVER gotten their praise or monetary value. People of color alll around the world, were in AWE that Michael Jackson - a boy from Gary, Indiana, was not only the most gifted artist, but also one of the most creative music business men in the industry. He is an inspiration. Just look at everyone always talking about MJ. Everyone from Janelle Monae, Diddy, Jay-z etc have been inspired by his purchase of the ATV/SONY catalogue. He gave us creatives HOPE, that POC can also one day aspire to own our shit and not only produce creativity, but also make money from it.

Fans all over the landscape on websites are cheering something fierce just waiting for the man's mother to perish because they dont want them 3 kids to have any connection to his family, even when there was zero connection to begin with. They are actually waiting for her to die. Its the most diabolically mad situation Ive ever seen. This is what 45 years has been reduced to. What does the Beatles Catalog have to do with supporting MJ? Real fans buy his records, go to his concerts. Everything else is MJ's business, nothing to do with his fanbase.

That is true, what has it got to do with us? lol

I think the only thing is that it's become a public bit of info, from Paul talking about it often, and also Michael saying he was going to die over it.

Well, I am a Michael Jackson fan and I wish nothing but health and happiness to Michael's family. I don't like hearing that Joseph is ill. And I hope Katherine is doing well too. It's sad hearing that Katherine is involved in all these fiancial affairs over the past few years, in and out of courts, she should be relaxing and taking care of herself and the children.

Because MJ did everything in his power to protect it and he expressed he did not want it sold but suddenly and quietly the Estate sells his share without no legitimate explanation. Any REAL MJ fan would care.

I'm no Branca fan but Sony had the leverage to buy MJ's half since at least 2006. The estate doesn't have 750 million to match the offer.

I actually explained why it is of an interest to fans, didn't I? It's public information because it's been spoken about for years and Michael Jackson said he'd die over it. Pretty much sums it up clearly.

You don't need to bring up this real fan line to me. I love Michael Jackson and have been into him for my entire life. And this real fan line is a bit off anyway, Michael is a person/artist, he's not a religious cult that you must know everything about. A fan is someone who buys records and albums and supports an artist. Real fans would be people who've taken Mj to their heart and been there for years and through the hardships. People aren't fake fans because they don't know the ins and outs of his business life or the catalogue. Not everyone is business minded or has a clue of how these things work, doesn't mean they are fakes.

I agree with this. We have to remember why we became fans in the first place, and that realness is what's going to last, not this secondary issue that should be none of our business in the first place. It is unfair and unjust what's happened, I'm not disputing that, but I'm choosing to not get emotionally involved anymore.

March 18, 2016: Michael Jackson's daughter PARIS has a new male friend . . . that's causing many to RAISE THEIR EYEBROWS. Paris is 17 years old, and had a very TROUBLED CHILDHOOD.

In addition to her father passing, Paris has been struggling with substance abuse - and spent a substantial amount of time in REHAB.

Well her new "friend" named Michael is 26 years old. And their relationship appears to be a little MORE THAN JUST FRIENDLY. You'll recall that under California law, it is a FELONY for a grown man to date a 17 year old.

Oh, and did we mention that Michael plays drums for a METAL band, and has a CONFEDERATE FLAG tatted on his forearm. We wonder what her African-American father would have thought . . .

Paris seems so loss to me. Kinda like Whitney's late daughter Krissy....

[Edited 3/17/16 15:05pm]

I think you completely misunderstood where I was coming from. I was in no way implying fans have to know the in's and out's about everything dealing with Michael but because Michael expressed that he did not want it sold and that people were conspiring to kill him over the catalog, yes oh mostly definitly I do believe a fan should care IMO. Now of course, I am not expecting all fans to care about things that were important or personal to Michael but IMO, the selling of this catalog is a complete violation of trust and disrespect considering Michael expressed passionately he did not want it sold and as a fan of him I care. Me expressing that I care or fans should has nothing to do with treating fandom like a cult or acting as if Michael was God. Its sad that everything Michael said would happen to him, IS happening so this is not a coincidence and since I believe he was done wrong when he was alive and this trend is continuing even in his death, I care.
