You know, I don't think I have this 7" mix anywhere! It skips Rene's part of the second verse, and goes straight to Angela's bridge. It's got guitar on the ending groove too.

I have the original album and the 12" vinyl. The CD from 1997 only has the 12" mixes, not this single (video) edit.

I saw Angela's Unsung a few years ago. I don't recall her explaining why she has not released an album since 1994. I know she had cancer but that was in the early 2000's.

I was JUST jamming to this a few days back. CLASSIC.

Heard this on "Groove" Sirius the other day. Didn't this song have a video of Rene riding around on a motorcycle (like someone else we knew back then?..........Whatever happened to Rene? Is he still in the industry?

I agree.I love the way she sings.

Yeah, she is a fantastic singer. And "I'll Be Good" is a bonafide classic! One of the best 80's R&B records IMO.
