TTD/SM - Perfumed Pavillion

Probably in my top 5 favorite song of all time. Blisteringly Beautiful. I cant find any info about it online. like when it was recorded?what project it was intended for? etc.

Love it so much I used it for a screentest for my latest shortfilm. Brillant song. Just wish I knew more about it.

cool cool cool

I have it on my ituness listed as track 3 of 4 of 'Do You Love Me Like You Say?' CD single from 1993.

It's b-side, extra track from the Symphony Or Damn album.

If you send a note to Sananda's website they are always very helpful and could offer more info.

And your screentest ended before the good stuff, where's the extended footage?! batting eyes

Thank you! means alot to me. first time directing a "love scene" so we had to work to make everybody comfortable. I've always wanted to do a "visual" to this song and im pleased that it works.

I'll definitly look into Sanandas website thank you for the insight. I couldnt place which album/era it came from...it felt either SYMPHONY or VIBRATOR. so im very relieved to hear this info.

THANKS AGAIN!

You're welcome, sir, and it was good to hear someone bring attention to this rarely heard song.

Best wishes of success for your projects and if you haven't heard Letting Go by Sananda/TTD please check it out.

It plays during the credits of the movie The Fan with Snipes and DeNiro but it's such a powerfully sad song and could be used so much more effectively than 'credit music'.

peace

Great song. I think I still have it on CD. It was a 4 track CD. I wish he did more songs like this. Correct me if I'm wrong (M-Serious).

Possibly my favourite song by him, and one of my favourite songs, period. thumbs up!

Amazing that it was only just tucked away as a b-side and he never did more with it. It would have fit on Vibrator, I think. Read My Lips (I Dig Your Scene) was next to it on the Do You Love Me Like You Say?CD single it first appeared on and that eventually made it onto the next album. Both seemed to me to work in the context of that more avant-garde 'psychedelic' sort of vibe he seemed to be going for.

Thanks for the full clip. Man! I love that little guitar riff/melody. It's bluesy and lovely at the same damn time. This song kind of reminds me of this now classic...

This was a Pop hit dying to happen. Oh well, Sony's lost our gain!

Perfumed Pavillion sounds to me like a hybrid of Frankie and Johnnie and Holding on to You in the meter of the lyric and musical tone. And it's a barnstormer of a love song, ain't it? Sananda offers his take on the subject of romantic love, plus a few other things (of course!) in an interview at Wonderlancer (http://wonderlancer.com/m...ent-darby/).
