When I first started paying attention to Kanye West, and his name was often misprinted as KAYNE... in 1999 he produced a beat for Madd Rapper, a persona of Bad Boy Entertainment's Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie.

The hook is a rewritten verse of Bobby Brown's "Every Little Step", but the main music is a gigantic looped sample that Kanye has pushed onto pop radio fifteen years later for The Weeknd's "Tell Your Friends".

Here's the 1976 original. I actually have been looking for this record since it was on Madd Rapper's album, but never saw it in the field.
