A Few From Tierra.

I've spent quite a bit of time around Latinos, and the Lowrider/oldies music, culture, so i got a soft spot for groups like Tierra. Although Tierra only had one big hit(Together), their version of that song was a monster, and probably will be played until Jesus comes back. biggrin

Cool. I haven't had a chance to see them but hopefully one day i will.

Also, it's unfortunate that Tierra didn't become super super big. They most definitely are known, but considering how big a hit Together was, i would have thought(and hoped) they would have been even bigger. Actually i like their version of Together, better than the original version.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

Who did the original? The only other version I've heard is by Donny & Marie because I have the album it's on. But I heard Tierra's 1st.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

In 1983,Tierra tried something different. They released an independent single called "Sonya".It's a funky jam unlike their previous singles. It got alot of airplay here in my area...
