On the real though... I've mentioned this before. Phil gets nothing but love from the r&B community. It's the white rock purists who get pissed about his music all these years later. I practically worship DA GAWD Peter Gabriel too. But i also like Phils stuff with Genesis too (The I Can't Dance album was a little too cheesy though) some days i find it kind of cheesy or silly. Other days i find some of his pop work Genesis kind of compelling in a way.

Phil has been sampled by 2pac, ODB, Bone Thugs, Eazy-E, Outkast, Dr. Dre, Kanye, Young Thug, Dj Khaled, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick, Puff Daddy, Wyclef Jean etc. And has been covered by Brandy, ODB, Chaka Khan, Usher, R. Kelly, Diana Ross etc.

He may not have love from angry rock fanboys. But he'll always have a place with the other genre wink

Thats the thing about the internet it lets assholes have voices. Kind of like the douche bag with the starbucks red cup xmas bullshit. Spend more energy on petitioning to get troops out of the two wars we have been in for almost 20 years. If I am Phil I would totally use this in marketing, shit make a music video about it. Also I guarantee like every other artist people love to hate on like Lionel Richie etc...for doing ballads etc...I bet these people own the shit themsleves. I mean call out Adele for her sappy shit OH WAIT she worked withe Phil Collins...but thats ok, double standard pass.
