Groove Theory Revisited (20th Anniversary)

However, in that early ’90s era dominated by the sounds of Jermaine Dupri and Jodeci, it would take a few years and many rejections before the rest of the world heard the aural valentine the duo composed. While in 1995, the lush single and album would go gold, there were many industry vets who doubted that either would make a dent.

“People just weren’t ready,” Bryce told me later. “Nobody believed in me as a producer or Groove Theory as a group.”

Thanks always liked her voice. Kinda reminded me of Brand New Heavy and Soul II Soul.

I always get up for Tell Me. It's just timeless.

Groove Theory should've never broke up as a duo after only one album. They had (and still have) a strong enough cult following where they could still have a successful music career without the need to have a crossover mainstream pop hit all the time.

Once you start feeling like this, it is pretty difficult to continue. His recent writing credit isn't new work, it is samples from "You're Makin' Me High" by Toni Braxton.

Who would they share it with though? City High

Groove Theory only had one album.

Rembember Alexander O' Neal and Cherrelle both had more output and Unsung

chose to combine them for a show.

Amel Larrieux. Her catalogue of music is impeccable.

Her lastest album.

Her latest single.
