Could be a theme song for the protestors in the streets these days.

WHY IS FM RADIO IGNORING COMPTON?

Hate to sound too old school but was there ever a single officially released to radio? I don't recall.

They don't seem to break anything these days (except pop).

The Straight Outta Compton film is smashing the box office and the success of the film is starting to impact the sales of N.W.A’s music. For the first time ever, an N.W.A song is on the Billboard Top 40 chart as “Straight Outta Compton” currently sits at No. 38 on the chart, 27 years after its original release.

On the Billboard 200 chart, N.W.A’s Straight Outta Compton album sits at No. 4 as of Friday, Aug. 23 after moving 44,000 units last week. This is the highest N.W.A has charted since their album, Niggaz4Life, debuted at No. 1 in June of 1991.

On the iTunes charts, “Straight Outta Compton,” Eazy-E’s single “Boyz-n-the-Hood” and Ice Cube’s classic diss song, “No Vaseline,” have all landed on the Top 100 songs. The remastered version of the Straight Outta Compton album also sits at No.9 on the most popular albums list.
