I've heard a couple of his songs. I just looked him up, saw he plays a couple of instruments. So he's not a studio creation. I also saw where he said James Brown was the last innovator in soul, and he might have a decent argument but for Stevie Wonder in the 70s. Still, music can use all the creative artists it can find. Miguel is an engaging artist. His latest, Wild Heart, is a fine addition to the growing body of work he's been developing.

I can't disagree, I really don't know. I kind of liked "Kaleidoscope Dream" from his last effort. But that was the only track I really liked from the samples I heard.
