I read somewhere today that Miley Cyrus is supposed to be hosting? Either way it doesn't matter. I won't be watching. It must feel good to be Beyonce and be able to release ANYTHING and still get recognized by award shows (And I use that word "award shows" loosely of course).

-

Trust me I get it. It was just a silly, fun video. Of course there's room for that. But award worthy?

The rapper, who scored three nominations herself, accused MTV of snubbing her hit song “Anaconda” for ‘Video of the Year,’ alluding to how Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” landed among the top award’s nominees—even though both videos shatteredviewing records and became staples of this year’s pop culture. -------------------disbelief

I'm going to ignore the race card Nicki pulled and just say that the videos for both "Bad Blood" and "Anaconda" suck. "Bad Blood" is as derivative as it gets and the choreography is boo boo but it'll win because it's Taylor Swift but it's hardly a "staple of this year's pop culture". "Anaconda" isn't either but that was more of a sensation than "Bad Blood".

I'll never understand why Taylor is so popular.

Exactly.

She's just mad that Taylor is more popular than her but can't justify her jealousy in any other way but crying racism. I don't like this T Swift nuthuggery but come on... I don't see Nicki whining about Beyonce who can release nothing and still somehow receive multiple nominations at almost any award show.

Also, someone actually cares about these glorified paperweights? The Grammys are a joke but I'm more inclined to understand someone being upset for not winning one of those over a freaking VMA! If Nicki was around when the VMAs were actually relevant she wouldn't have been nominated at all!

Actually, I stand corrected. Nicki DID target Beyonce albeit covertly. It's in the tweet addressing "Anaconda" not being nominated for Best Choreography; Taylor isn't nominated in that category but Beyonce though it was a dig at Taylor as well with the mention of Video of the Year.

EDIT:: I stand corrected again. It's possible that Nicki was shading Beyonce but she didn't outright. Though at the same time she wonders why the song she did with Bey didn't get nominated so who knows?

They still have this shit show? Oh yeah they have it so Kanye and Kim or some fool can get some traction and do some dumb shit. My guess is a lot of Trump jokes, statements about music and streaming music blah blah blah useless pop culture crap from a video network that has been dead for two decades now

I don't watch that shit and never will but I only gave Anaconda some

time because of Nikki's ass even if it is fake.

Taylor Swift music does nothing for me either. Yawnfest.

OMG! I don't think I can watch that child walk around in booty shorts and pasties for a whole 3 hours. I really want to strap her to a chair at a buffet and force feed her while telling her 'food is your friend'....T-swizzle will be tied to the chair across from her getting the same pep talk.

What's up with all the Beyonce and T-Swizzle ass-lickery? Neither of those videos were good. Beyonce's was totally shot by Blue Ivy and T-Swizzle is that kid who was obviously made fun of in school so now that she is successful she likes to rub her new popularity in all those bullys faces which actually makes her just as much of an asshole as they were. Two wrongs don't make a right T-Swizzle. Not to mention her video is totally dissing my girl Katy Perry but Taylor refuses to admit that because Katy will cut her ass. The only female video in this entire list that I actually love is FKA Twigs '2 Weeks' that video is awesome and the song is outstanding.

My friend and I watched the "Teen Choice Awards" last night because the bumped Big Brother for a half hour (bastards), the hardest part was finding any legit teens in the crowd or nominee lists. Does playing a teen count as being a teen?

.

Also T.Swift is totally not the kid who was made fun of in school, she's the gorgeous, uncertain girl in band that shares her snacks with you and who's mom really wants you to come to their pizza party at the end of the month. I don't see her as bullied, that'd give her some edge. She seems like the kinda kid thats been told she can do anything since she could say mama.

MTV has revealed the new Moonman award, revamped by designer Jeremy Scott. The big night is slated to air live from the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live at 9pm ET on 8/30. So far, XO/Republic's The Weeknd—whose album streets two days prior—is scheduled to perform, while additional performers are still TBA.

I'll tell you why Taylor is more popular. You can watch her videos with another person in the room!!!

Remember when racy videos like "Anaconda" had a HARD hotdog TIME getting aired, and put the artist in the periphery?

You can't make stuff like that and expect it to be front page, video of the year, etc. It was weird enough hearing that song on the radio.

Teen CHOICE means that is who voted, not the age of the nominees.

Teens are still kids, so I can see why daytime hosts would get more votes than a nighttime talk show host or someone with raunchy humor (Amy S).
