these guys were very diverse. Here, they're in latin rock territory with song that sounds like it could have been recorded by Santana....

Great, distinctive vocals and adept at both slamming funk and ballads. Candy is my favorite album of theirs with a sensational funk jam in Chase Me and an amazing ballad in Let Me Put Love on Your Mind. And some of their songs I can never tire of hearing, like Ffun - those horns! Got to Be Enough is another favorite and Touch is another great album. But perhaps my all-time fav is Confunshunizeya. I guess their last great one was Ms. Got the Body. Got damn though, so disappointed in the new record.

If you've got funk, you've got style.

Candy is my favorite CFS album too. In fact it's the 2nd album I ever bought.
I love every track on it. Not Ready is a slamming ballad too. The title track is the shit and kicks ass live. Main Slce pumps too. I can listen to this album anytime and never tire of it.
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

I always wished the opener, Fire When Ready, was longer. It slams too.

I labeled them Earth,Wind and Fire Jr..lol..The Interplay between Cooper and Pilate were reminiscient of Maurice and Philip..Also they worked with EWF collaborator Skip Scarborough on alot of their albums..

My fav album of theirs is Secrets..You can definitely hear the Ewf influence on it..

Love 7 and Fever ..Loveshine,Candy and Spirit of Love are very good too..

One of the things that distinguished Con Funk Shun from many of the other funk bands is...they had just as many great slow jams as uptempo jams....who remembers this stellar album track? music

Out of all the funk bands I thought ConFunkShun stood out as far as ballads go.

Their ballads were supreme. One of my favorites which I felt was a cousin of Can't Go Away
