Austrian pop-sensation Bilderbuch is back (big prince influence)

Last year Bilderbuch had a hit with "Maschin"

Now they're back with a fantastic new album. Check out some of their songs:

they must really be starving for music in Austria, if this guy is a "pop sensation" there...

these songs are unlistenable ...

I'm Austrian and the very first time I heard about them was here on the org smile

but then again, the last time I listened to the radio was maybe 30 years ago, so maybe I'm not really a benchmark

Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

Maybe you're deaf?

Their actual tour is very succesful, and I think they're the best austrian pop act since Falco. Those guys are top notch musicians and their live shows are excellent.

WOW WOW WOW - JA JA JAAAA!!! Fantastic album indeed! Like it VERY much, only the raps in English language sound a bit unprofessional. However, P's influence is omnipresent here. You can hear the "purple chants and grooves" in almost every corner. Great recommendation. Thank you!!

I am a Prince Fan since 1987 and Bilderbuch is what Prince should sound like if he was still innovative. Their 3rd album "Schick Schock" is so ridiculously good that Prince should listen to it and re-think about what he still could create.

These videos are boring. The Red Hot Chili Peppers want their look back.

I'm not so sure about their first 2 longplayers but SCHICK SCHOCK is definitely an ode to Prince!

Lars, can you recommend any other German Artists with a "purple" flavor?
