y'all suck biggrin

Here I am,trying to introduce you to a very promising new act, with a really soulful sound, and no one's interested disbelief These guys are trying to keep the 'real soul' sound alive and I think they deserve props for that.Today's R&B needs more stuff like this!

Bought both from Amazon, thanks for the introduction.

The sound of 'Doublin Down' reminds me of 'Lonely Girl on Bourbon Street' by Mazarati.

Maybe I need a q-tip. jester

The Jack Moves Share Movi...Okayplayer

Awash with an air of vintage R&B (and covered in a whole lot of snow), the new video from New Jersey soul duo The Jack Moves is a loving tribute to the streets and people of Newark. As vocalist Zee Desmondes and producer/multi-instrumentalist Teddy Powell criss-cross the side streets and avenues, trekking through piles of snow as their funk song of resilience plays on. Moody double-exposure scenes and sights of Newark locals dancing in the street jut up against one another, taking us on a kind of emotional rollercoaster–but then that’s what changing seasons are all about. Over popping disco bass and a simple yet elegant drum beat Powell’s gorgeous vocals trade off with a lazy sitar line, eventually fading into the background as we see shots of clouds rolling by.

The Jack Moves are a rising new act signed to Wax Poetics records and first caught our ear in December with their syncopated love tune “Doublin Down.” Fans of late Curtis Mayfield and modern Mayer Hawthorne will find lots to love in their material, which glimmers in its sincere treatment of classic throwback soul. Watch the duo’s new video for “Season’s Change” below and treat yourself to the track on iTunes if you haven’t already done so.
