She is amazing live. Got to see her and boy she turned it out. Very sexy too. I'll listen later. [Edited 4/21/15 18:06pm] Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

The new album drops in July, but I'm the impatient type --I want it now.

Should be a good album. "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin

The melody of this song reminds me of something, I can actually even hum the parts to the original, but I can't remember what it is. Change it one more time..

Saw her on Jules and she killed it. The one song sounded a lot like Jill Scott but the other 2 didn't. Talent for days!

Then don't sing in a melismatic style that is associated with soul/r&b. Oh wait, I only think of her as a soul singer because she's black apparently. "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

I like Lianne but enough of that tragic mulatta B.S. Her voice is almost an octave lower than damn near every folk singer other than Tracey Chapman. I know she wants to be seen as "different" but different does NOT AT ALL make you better than; just "other than". For some, that is good enough. I get sick of people speaking about soul and R&B as if they were cuss words while simultaneously using and syphoning from them to make music that sounds like it. Elle Varner said something similar in an interview a while back. Soul = black and if you have a problem with being associated with black folks, cool. Bounce. I'll $upport someone else.
