It is an alright track, not bad. I like the bridge or whatever you call it best. I have to say that Pharrell productions have started to sound very samey to me in the last few years. Nice, but not very exciting in most cases. Still love him though!

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

The chorus is vaguely reminiscent of mid-1970s era Parliament-Funkadelic. However, it's mostly a trite retread of work Pharell has done before. But for the honeys in the music video, I would've dismissed this sooner.

SPECIAL REPORT: Snoop Dogg's So Many Pros is a rip-off of Janet's All For You, which in itself sampled Change's The Glow Of Love.

Pharrell William might get another lawsuit against him real soon.

I know I´m in the minority but I actually happen to like Snoop´s "pop" songs more than his rap songs in the past. I liked his debut album Doggystyle but he lost me after that.

Later, I really started liking his work with Pharell on songs like Beautifuland Sexual Seduction, Drop It like It´s Hot etc. , or , more recently, his funk music that he made with DamFunk. Now THAT was really fresh and interesting , and so unexpected. Snoopzilla and DamFunk are keepers of my favorite brand of Funk, reminiscent of ZAPP and the Bar-Kays or some other early 80s groups.

-

This song though does absolutely nothing for me and sounds a bit uninspired.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I think I respected Pharrell a lot better when he was one half of the production duo, The Neptunes with Chad Hugo. I was even a fan when both men were in N.E.R.D.

Somehow, Pharrell started being full of himself the moment he turn his back on his childhood friend Chad and never looked back.

Chad stopped showing up to the studio ten years ago, and Pharrell just continued working.

Neptunes were supposed to be working on Kenna's second album and Chad Hugo wouldn't show up. There was a chalk board where Kenna wrote "CHAD WHERE ARE YOU".
Eventually, Chad Hugo took over and wrote MOST of Kenna's second album, but the "Neptunes" didn't do a lot together after that.

I've heard the album now. I wouldn't say it was trash but it's kinda laid back. I may give it a little more time to see if it grows on me.

I never heard of any real personal fight, and I don't think there has to be an "issue" present for creative collaboration to lose its magic.

Snoop Dogg is a lot like Jay-Z in one regard: "retirement" is not a part of his vocabulary.

The org is starving for uptempo funk. This track is more like boogie music, but it's too bad we can't appreciate some of this lighter fare.

Pharrell was, and still is, one half of the Neptunes. Just a process of personal and professional growth. Chad, until a few years ago, was the family-oriented one of the duo, and would usually stay back in Virginia and work on solo stuff and tracks with Pharrell via file-transfer. They never really stopped working together. They're both self-sufficient in their own right, and know their way around a studio. Chad is the more technically inclined of the two. A lot of "Neptune" tracks in the past were in fact "Pharrell" productions and vice-versa. They always shared the credit, not unlike Jam & Lewis.
