You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

yep.

And he is one of my fave rappers.

Maybe his problems are to do with the death of his sister or that he is just being stupid with this latest event.

I know it says that the bus' tags were out of date or whatever, but I wonder how many times the Red Hot Chili Peppers, or the Rolling Stones, or David Bowie's tour buses were pulled over and searched. You only hear of rappers...

I feel like you could plant drugs on any rapper and people would (sadly) believe the story. Nelly says they aren't his.

Don't put yourself in a 'compromising position'...

Musicians and drugs right or wrong... city police, state troppers, airport police assume you have or are carrying something. Sooner or later you'll be stopped, illegal drugs shouldn't be on your tour bus, period. If your bandmates indulge than they need to find another form of transportation to your gigs. Get wise and have "your drugs" in one car following way behind or way ahead. Or put the shit down....

I think they need to do a better job at being positive "role models".

I stand corrected. I knew about Willie Nelson, but I wasnt aware of my girl Fiona getting busted for hashish. From reading the article, these folks need to avoid Texas...or be prepared to get busted. As for Justin Bieber...his ass doesnt count. If I was a cop and pulled him over, I'd give his ass a hard time too...anything to get his ass off the streets. smile

Why? I don't think parents considered Madonna and Prince positive role models back in the day. Or the Rolling Stones etc. I never heard they should be role models.

I understand you want a positive influence on children, but they are artists, it's rock&roll. (wow, now i sound old). If every was a positive role model, it would get really boring.
