So, Bruno is paying up or Mark Ronson?

Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

hmmm

actually I noticed a lot of similarities in all the dozens of threads on the topic of similarities of songs...

it's obvious some threads and posts definitely ripped of others, and certain orgers should file lawsuits for copyright issues nod

Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

At what point does Yamaha come out and start suing artists for using thier sound of the keys?

Its almost there, everyone needs to own something and we only have 88 keys on a keyboard -

If you are not creating new sounds and intruments and finding new pitches, its all been done or the feeling has been touched upon.

.

There is a line between a jack, sample or inspired by.

Personally if you're POP (soul to Rock) You are inspired, it is the nature of the style you have taken on i.e "popular" - this isnt expirmental underground noise and pitch, some avante-garde genius recreating the wheel- its a retread.

I own alot of these works. they're dope.

.

But artistic Justice?

how about the Ghost-Writers? backing vocalists actually singing lead? song writters who just had thier work stolen and they dont have TMZ on speed dial to kick a fuss?

publishing houses that are stealing lesser known artists works for their brands?

What about the visual artists? all the artists that make a product great?

We only care about the 'Brand"

.

This is what you call a "Jack" and stealing someones artistry for commerce.

Martha Wash had her voice stolen by other "singers", models & producers who couldnt sing a lick but were more marketable (Zelma Davis could still blow)

You cant hide Martha's voice. Thats one ton of the whole fun, c'mon.

She was compensated in the end, but i imagine you dont do what you love creatively for money.
