On a recent Metal Show episode, John 5 said he recorded some solo tracks with Diamond Dave. I don't think there's any plans to release them though. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |

Who knows what goes on with those guys. I get the sense that EVH is not in a real great place. They had to cancel half their last tour. They did put that new album out which was pretty good but I'm told every single one of those songs is an outtake from 1984 or earlier. This live album is a good idea but at this point, 4 years after the tour, I'd rather they put out a classic show from the 80s instead.
It's tough to look at someone that talented and realize they're kinda done. I think Ed is kinda done. | |
