Im a HUGE Bowie fan, but this era I've completely erased from my memory. This song (and especially the video) was a complete disaster that needs to be nuked from history.

Dancing in the Street sounds like an easy song to cover...

but it ain't; for some reason, NONE of the versions I've heard (and I've heard many) can match the sheer power and impact of the original...

yup, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas by a mile. that said Van Halen did a far better job than that joke jagger/bowie drivel.
