Remembering Don Cornelius: 3 Years Later Thread

3 years ago on this today, the world lost the legendary Mr. Donald Cortez "Don" Cornelius. Today, we should celebrate what this man had accomplished. Where Berry Gordy gave R&B music a worldwide ear, Cornelius did the same, but he gave it a face on television. So come post your fave memories, pics, vids, etc. of Don Cornelius and Soul Train. It's time to get onbaord the SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOULLLLL TRAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, he was the "Dick Clark of soul music" and truly brought R-n-B to the masses, including middle America. He went beyond the disco years and furthered the development of rap music too. It's really hard to believe we lost him, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Donna Summer so close to each other. I wonder if anyone will ever revive Soul Train and bring it back to TV...

It ain't Soul Train without Don Cornelius.
