A few from - The Wipers

I woke up today thinking about some funk music that i wanted to post, but then i got to thinking about The Wipers.

As some of u already know, The Wipers are a band from the Pacific Northwest(Oregon). They have been around since about 1980 and have been a influence on damn near every grunge, DIY, and punk band that has come outta the PNW(80's and 90's).

Greg Sage is The guitarist, singer, founder, and main member of The Wipes, and is know for his distinctive guitar playing.

Never Win(Silver Sail-1995)

I really like the guitar playing on SFL. It is a song from a Greg Sage solo album.

Sacrifice for love(Sacrifice for love-1991)

I posted this song about a couple years ago but i like it so much that i decided to post it again.
Also this song was remade by none other than Nirvanna.

The lyrics are interesting on D-7. Greg is talking about Aliens and being taken away to someplace else beacuse he doesn't quite fit in(on the earth). Its also interesting because it seems as if greg's sexuallity(gay) is a factor in him wanting to be taken away(in the lyrics).

D-7 (Is This Real?-1980)

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.
