You know that line in "Yonkers" was a joke, right? Tyler doesn't really have any issues with Bruno.

Yaaaaassss! Nobody can stop the unstoppable force that is BRUNO MARS!!!!

From Billboard:

'Uptown Funk!' rules for a third week.

Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!," featuring Bruno Mars, leads the Billboard Hot 100 for a third week.

"Funk!," released on RCA Records, spends a fourth week atop Digital Songs with 400,000 downloads sold (up 17 percent) in the week ending Jan. 18, according to Nielsen Music, and nets the Hot 100's top Digital Gainer award. It also leads the subscription services-based On-Demand Songs chart for a second week with 5.3 million U.S. streams (up 14 percent). "Funk" retreats 1-2 on Streaming Songs despite a 28 percent gain to 14.9 million, while on Radio Songs, it flies 6-2 with a 31 percent burst to 135 million in all-format audience, good for top Airplay Gainer honors on the Hot 100, as well.

Why? Cuz I know dude. He woulda aimed that line at whoever was hot at that time. If you take Tyler's lyrics like that seriously, you're missing the point of his style.

I'm not from a place where rapping about stabbing people in the esophagus is taken lightly. He's no Richard Pryor and noone finds it funny.

Some people in some parts of the world have been desensitized by the media and pop culture so much that they hardly feel anything anymore.

cool

I suppose you think he's literally going to crash an airplane that B.O.B is flying in, too.

BTW does anybody else hate the radio edit of "Uptown Funk"?

The change is slight. They remove four bars from the end of the song, dissipating the energy IMO.

Tyler does his own thing. He doesn't need pop hits or wants them. And he has a pretty big fan base. So i'm sure he's not losing sleep lol

I am.

Hell those guys from NWA were rapping about sodmizing each other with broomsticks at the same time they were seen hanging out together at Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles.

It's just another version of the Dozens.

Take Tyler over Bruno any day. But yeah, he probably doesn't have a problem with him.

Good for you. But are you comparing Tyler to NWA? LOL. Dude's a tiny inconsequential microscopic footnote in hip hop. At best.

Bruno Mars stinks. He's dorky as hell and too many of his dowdy sounding songs have the same tired theme: him trying to convince some apparently self-doubting wallflower of her worth. His music is littered with corny, over the top cliche's that he tries to pass as clever wordplay and damn near sound like jingles. He's like a male version of Taylor Swift, in that like her too many people are charmed by his overeager and inoffensive cheesiness. 10-20 years ago, such overt geekery wouldn't have been allowed anywhere in music, but for some reason in today's music and entertainment scene, dorks like Bruno are being embraced.

Anyway, Tyler is right, Bruno is wack.

Well he's gotten far enough in the biz to inspire hate threads on the org. He's clearly doing something right.

I can't stomach the fact that many still Tyler seriously after all his childish behavior that shows in everything he does. He's literally a kid who got signed, got surrounded by people who happen to be good at producing rap music, and for obvious reasons his bubblegum pinky fluffy look looked fine... and Tyler, The Creator and whatnot was born.

Bruno is just keeping doing what he loves, he's probably the only artist today who has never got into a fight with any other artist... Never dissed a guy in his music, he's humbly making cool tracks and he's getting the props he deserves for that.
