How I wish there was early footage of the man. Back in the 50s when he was jumping off of balconies and pianos into splits like the Berry Brothers.

yeah, i read in one of the liner notes in his cd compilations (forgot which one hmmm) , Bobby Byrd mention that Brown use to do back flips and finish it with a split.

Byrd told him that he had to cool it with that before he hurt himself lol

TAMI Show was I think his first televised performance, and the man was already 31 years old.

He was on Dick Clark's American Bandstand in 62, but the Flames just lip-synced some slow numbers I Don't Mind and another one can't remember.
