I had the privilege of being roommates with Ty at uni many moons ago. I finally reconnected with him when I saw Vintage Trouble live for the first time this year. This is the band he was born to front.

when i first discovered the band, i though "who is that dude?.. i've seen him before" ... it finally clicked that i'd seen him on rockstar inxs .... what a voice... and yeah, perfect fit for this band

I did run into Ty on the street a few years ago after INXS and before Vintage Trouble and he expressed his disappointment with the INXS show in that he felt the band was deceptive in what they were really looking for. Their loss.

i knew they were looking for a michael wannabe... to me, they should have quit.... but if they did go ahead, going in an entirely different direction would have been the way to go

i'm glad ty didn't get the gig though... i love him in this band... hope they get to australia soon
