Those first two albums aren't as bad as people think. Come Give Your Love To Me from JJ is an awesome New Wave cut, and Love and My Best Friend is heart-tugging in a way that the Jacksons do best. I have every single one of these albums. And like @seanman said those first two albums weren't bad. I actually like quite a few tracks on them especially "say you do" and "Don't stand another chance". I love the way that her music tells the story of a girl transforming into a woman and all of the stuff in between. I never understood why those albums were called bad. I guess the more people heard it was a flop, the more it was written off in general. I was hooked on them when getting them in the late 90's, especially several of the tracks on dream street were on repeat. I thought her voice was good as well, really pretty and soothing. And? We've been asking for a Janet sticky for years, but the powers that be around her seem not to deem her worthy of one. And so what if there are several Janet threads? At any one time or another I've seen several Madonna threads on the first page alone, and the same goes for Beyonce, Gaga, etc. If it doesn't interest you, then move the fuck on. Thank you.

Jimmy and Terry provided the music but Janet definitely had her own input which was vital to the entire project. I love Jimmy and Terry but sometimes I feel that folks give them too much credit for Janet's accomplishments. Yes they are a huge part of her career. But let's not forget that Janet is a visual artist. And Jimmy and Terry are not responsible for her performing abilities. Michael's worst album (Invincible imo) is better than Janet's best. Michael was a genius. Janet was a good popstar. Lets keep some perspective here people. |

Exactly! People constantly say stuff like this, but when this question is asked they don't have an answer for it. Other than Janet can anybody please tell me where Jimmy and Terry has had that amount of success with any other artist. She is just as important to their career has they are to hers. Why do i always get the feeling that men are called geniusses and women are puppets? Michael needed Quincy Jones just at much.
