She said half the songs didn't even make the album which is good because I think half of it belongs in the vault. Personally, I think the weak spots on this record are often her lyrics. I literally cackled with laughter at the end of Heartbreak City. "And I still feel shittyyyy..." lol

"Living for Love" could be a serious hit if she changes the dated 90s sound a little. By the end of the song, I have goosebumps.

The only way I could access the songs at all was through the UK Itunes, where I guess they're available for purchase and preview. Devil Pray sounds great now--can't wait to hear the whole thing. Ghost town is new territory. Unapologetic Bitch had some work doen to it And I still don't like Bitch I'm Madonna. I'll wait for thr physical CD--looks like 18 songs for Rebel Heart.

"Devil Pray" sounds much better than the demo version. The music is more fleshed out.

"Living For Love" sounds less 90s-sounding than the demo.I like this final version better.

"Ghost Town" is nice...very nice! Beautiful ballad.

"Unapologetic Bitch" sounds more reggae-ish than the demo, which was more EDM.

"Illuminati" is great....this final version is more polished and exciting than the demo version.

"Bitch I'm Madonna" still sounds like a throwaway to me lol but it's fun,and the Nicki Minaj rap brings new life to it

Madonna Responds to 'Rebel Heart' Leak by Releasing Six Songs

"Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift," singer says

Madonna

BY ROLLING STONE | December 20, 2014

Madonna hadn't planned on releasing her 13th album, Rebel Heart, until spring 2015. But leakers had other plans for the Queen of Pop's follow-up to 2012's MDNA, unleashing early mixes of 13 tracks onto the Internet this week. In response, Madonna has put six official versions of the songs up for sale on iTunes and other digital music retailers, effective immediately. More music will be available February 9th, and the full album will be released the first week of March via Interscope.

RELATEDDiplo performs

"I was hoping to release my new single 'Living for Love' on Valentine's Day with the rest of the album coming in the spring," she said in a statement. "I would prefer my fans to hear completed versions of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating. Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift."

Tracks available immediately include throwback house anthem "Living for Love," the ominous "Devil Pray," the lush "Ghosttown," reggae-tinged jam "Unapologetic Bitch," dark "Illuminati" and the Nicki Minaj-featuring "Bitch I'm Madonna." Producers on the tracks include Diplo, Kanye West, Billboard, Dahi, Blood Diamonds and Madonna, herself. Fans can nab the songs as part of an album pre-order or buy them individually a la carte.

In July, Diplo — who produced a good portion of the album's tracks — promised the upcoming songs would be "crazy-sounding." "We really pushed the envelope with some of the stuff we were doing," he said, adding Madonna was "up for anything." "I love when an artist gives a producer the confidence he needs to work with them, and Madonna was very open-minded to my ideas… she was down from day one."

Madonna has been plagued by leaks for the past several weeks. Earlier this month, she posted a photo of a smashed iPod on Instagram as a reaction to the premature arrival of the track "Rebel Heart," and explained, "This broken ipod is a symbol of my broken heart! That my music has been stolen and leaked! I have been violated as a human and an artist! #fuckedupshit."

Upon discovering unreleased photos from shoots have also been making their way onto the web, she posted one of the offending images on Instagram with a note reading in part, "I am asking my true fans and supporters who respect me as an artist and a human to not get involved with the purchasing trading or posting of unreleased images or music. I hope and pray we find the source of the leaks soon. Until then i am grateful for any leads or info and even more grateful for your support and loyalty! Please let me finish my work so i can give you my very best!"

Really digging the finished songs of Living For Love, Devil Pray (really strong song now!), and Ghosttown played back to back. On the other hand, I like the demo of Illuminati better than the Itune's version. Hmm, wonder if she made a mistake releasing these six tracks before the completed album... hmmm

No, I think it's brilliant! It keeps fans interested. I've been saying this for awhile, that artists should release EP's of fewer songs more often, instead of taking forever to do an album. Albums aren't what they used to be, they are kind of dead now. As much as I love an artist, if they keep me waiting too long for new music I sort of lose interest and move on to other artists. I get sick of artists who promise we're going to release this and that and take forever to actually deliver something. Madonna doesn't just talk and promise, she delivers She's a very smart lady and totally amazing.

I love all the songs, but I think my favorite is Ghostown followed by Devil Prays.

NY POST

Madonna surprises with six new song release

Even after more than three decades in the game, Madonna is still full of surprises.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, the New York megastar shocked the world by releasing six brand new songs from her forthcoming album “Rebel Heart” on iTunes. Anyone placing a pre-order will get the half-dozen new songs immediately, more will be available on February 9 and the rest will come on March 10.

Although the move is reminiscent of Beyonce’s surprise release of her self-titled album last year, this wasn’t Madonna’s original plan. The 56-year-old had hoped to release the lead single “Living for Love” on Valentine’s Day, 2015 and the rest of the album in March but she’s been forced into this quick release by several leaks during December – something which she had previously referred to as “artistic rape” and “terrorism.”

“I would prefer my fans to hear completed version of some of the songs instead of the incomplete tracks that are circulating,” said Madonna via a new statement. “Please consider these six songs as an early Christmas gift.”

So are they festive treats or lumps of coal? Here’s The Post’s verdict.

‘Living For Love’
★★★
Madge takes us to church with the first song – a euphoric, gospel-tinged dance track that will rejuvenate even the most beaten-down of souls thanks to its “love’s gonna lift me up” refrain. It should be a hit both on the dance floor and the pop charts.

‘Devil Pray’
★★★
The Catholic guilt sounds like it’s returned to Ms Ciccone. After going through a laundry list of possible narcotic adventures and losing herself in a woozy house beat (partially concocted by Drake-collaborator DJ Dahi and Grimes cohort Blood Diamonds), Madonna begs for salvation; “Mother Mary can’t you help me/’Cause I’ve gone astray.” The push-pull between light and dark makes “Devil Pray” an absorbing cut.

‘Ghosttown’
★★½
The first six available tracks of “Rebel Heart” are hectic both musically and emotionally but in the middle is this brief moment of sincerity that seems to find Madonna channelling her maternal side. “When the world gets cold/I’ll be your cover,” she sings on “Ghosttown,” a big synth-ballad of solidarity that is simple but touchingly tender.

‘Unapologetic Bitch’
★★
Back in 2013, Madonna and her-then 25-year-old dancer boyfriend Brahim Zaibat ended their relationship and it’s hard to believe that she’s not referring to it here. The dancehall influenced “Unapologetic Bitch” (one of the several tracks she worked on with producer Diplo) is musically passable, but it’s the lyrical rage that makes you stand up and take notice; “You never really knew how much your selfish bulls**t cost me/But f**k you.” Ouch.

‘Illuminati’
★★★
You can always rely on Madonna to get weird and she certainly does on this Kanye West-produced cut. A sinister beat underscores Madonna’s demonic vocals, which make ambiguous references to President Obama, Jay Z, Beyonce and many more in the perceived New World Order. It’s hard to figure out if Madonna is making fun of the concept of the Illuminati or subtly giving out signals but either way, it’s a song that take her in an exciting new direction.

‘Bitch, I’m Madonna’
★½
Madonna’s headlong dive into the world of modern dance music goes noticeably astray here. “Bitch I’m Madonna” is a messy party anthem that veers wildly from bleepy electro to churning dubstep while also making room for uninspired Nicki Minaj guest spot. The tongue-in-cheek spirit isn’t enough to redeem it from being the clear weak-spot on the first selections of “Rebel Heart.”

I think this "leak" was her plan all along
The interviews
The album art
Itunes pre release
Way too quick to put together without adavnce
She prolly didn't want to come across as copying Beyoncé
So she decided to blame it on a leak instead to garner a different kind publicity
Brilliant
