Not a big fan of Latifah here (neither as an actress nor as a host) but I think they should´ve been more patient with Arsenio. His jokes weren´t exactly funny but he had some interesting guests on his show.

Assuming you meant Arsenio. No I meant that he is cagey in the same sense with his own business whilst prying into the business of guests. Especially since that gay rumor has been around since the 1980s, he may come off as NOT genuine, in 2014. No one knows about Arsenio.. there are pictures of Latifah.

Sorry, of course I meant Arsenio. For some subliminal reason I had that stupid Big Daddy Kane line on my mind while typing. (That line where he raps that he goes by the name Kane because Antonio, his real name, sounds gay to him).

For any of you to suggest, that The Queens show failed, because she didn't "come out" is absurd! Rosie O'Donnell didn't come out the whole 6 years! Her talk show was very successful!

Plus Queen Latifah is not even gay...

I'm glad y'all cleared that up 'cuz I had no idea who antonio was.

Arsenio used to practically sit in Eddies lap when he was on the show back in the day, he did have good guests though.

I see a pattern here...seems that only certain talk shows are allowed to stay on the air longer than others. I would expand on this opinion more but don't want to risk having this thread moved to the P&R section.

Latifah is cagey to the point where you just don't know anything about her. Not absurd to say that is why I found her show frustrating to watch.

I dunno, I think we are just getting used to living in an era where people expose everything about themselves. I can't tell you how many people I see on Instagram that take pictures of what they're having for lunch and post about it. There are some people who put EVERYTHING out there (especially on so-called social media) that makes it kind of unusual to find someone (especially a celebrity) who choses not to go down that route. I guess in a sense Queen Latifah is old school in that regard.
