Not a fan of Metallica, but this is an awesome approach, wish more people would do it. Springsteen I think is someone who does something similar, need to investigate. Heavenly wine and roses seems to whisper to me when you smile...

Pearl Jam to my recollection was the first i had seen that went against the grain and released everything. they still do it in fact on certain tours this one has about 35 on itunes. Foo Fighters i am hearing are going to do this also, because the Foo's are an indie band.
