I heard that for the Victory Tour none of the album's songs were performed....

and that besides Jackson 5/ previous Jacksons songs, the only songs played were from Thriller. If that's true then why? Sounds pretty stupid to me. I know the akbum was still very successful and the tour was even more so but why wouldn't they perform any of the songs from the album the tour was named after? It could've been more successful still.

Well, Michael only did it cause his mother asked him to and his brothers needed the money. Marlon said mike refused to rehearse any new material. Thriller the song wasn't performed either cause MJ didn't like how it sounded live.

Jermaine solo set was the highlight of the tour.

I heard that Michael's main goal was to help out his bros which is why he participated in the tour. He definitely helped and IDK how successful it would have been without him but still, he really couldn't be bothered to rehearse the songs off the album that was the reason for the tour? Might as well have been named the Thriller Tour...

in 1984,Michael should have done his own solo tour....the Thriller World Tour '84.

After Off The Wall, there was just no reason for him to record and perform with his brothers anymore. At that point,he was a solo superstar and the world wanted to see HIM performing his own songs,on his own.

It's obvious that Michael didn't wanna work with his brothers in 1984.On the song "State Of Shock",he didn't even ask one of his brothers to sing on it with him.He chose Mick Jagger instead lol He also refused to appear in the "Torture" and "Body" videos. That shows you how committed he was to that project, lol.

I agree on the part about people's interest lying in Michael and almost him entirely and he had every reason to go on a solo worldwide stadium tour for the biggest album in history but he sought to help out his brothers instead. They definitely needed the money more than he did; they weren't falling on hard times but their commercial appeal was indeed on the decline.

They did do a song from Jermaine's 1984 album

Yet he decided to add one bullshit song to the album Be Not Always which

he could have kept for his Bad or Dangerous album. I remember

I would always skip over that song when listening to the album. lol
