The Mac is playing at Madison Square Garden tonight/tomorrow.



I had this on my bucket list...to see the band at least once in my life.
Alas, PTA calls and I'm going to miss them.

Fleetwood Mac came through my city a couple years ago when I couldn't scrape the money together, but what I told myself is "if they ever bring Christine back in and come here, then I will go". It was sort of my out for not being able to afford a ticket.

And I still couldn't afford that ticket, but dammit, now I am going to see them in November.

yep...going to catch them in December! So psyched. I've loved this band since I was 7 years old but never saw them live. Truly one of the all-time greats.

Saw them in concert Friday night at the United Center, excellent show, BRAVO. Christine McVie was with the group, that was a big surprse, for the fans. Christine mates were very happy she was there... the band had a little bit more energy since the last time I saw Fleetwood, minus Ms. McVie.

The "good" tickets at the Garden are like $1,400 face value.

I found $119 seats for Tuesday that I can afford thanks to a tax refund that NY just sent out but I can't get out of the PTA meeting at my son's school at 6:30.

I think that having Christine back in the fold DID reinvigorate the group.

When the current tour was announced on this thread http://prince.org/msg/8/406455, I said that I bought a ticket for Tuesday night's show. I'm not that big a fan (I only own their 1975 S/T, Rumours and 2CD greatest hits), but like Cinny, I wanted to see them live if Chrstine McVie ever came back.

Favorite song is "Say You Love Me".

I quite like Rumours, and many of their hits (Go Your Own Way is one of my fav songs of all time)

I also like the obscure/pre-fame blues-rock days with Peter Green

i'm a HUGE fan of peter green

to me... this is fleetwood mac

Still hoping to go! If I do, it will be a last-minute thing, to the point where I may show up at the venue with a "need a ticket" sign!

What can I say? This band put on an amazing show and seeing Christine McVie on stage with them again was a dream come true. It was so obvious this group had a new spirit or energy about them. Stevie, Mick and Lindsey all said wonderful things about her. It was such a great show, and there was no opening act. They played around 2 and half hours. Everyone was in great voice. It's like "The Dance" just happened yesterday. Time has stood stilll for them.

I agree with everything you said except it seemed like Stevie Nicks could no longer hit the high notes in "Rhiannon".

Reading in that thread about the "soap opera" that is FM, made me think I'd love to read a quality biography of the band. I see there are quite a few books about FM out there (more than one by Mick himself!). Anyone here able to recommend any of them?

Looking forward to seeing them next month as well, but I wish it were much sooner. The setlist is perfect.

Maybe I'll catch 'em again in Austin next year...

Dang, I should have read this thread earlier.

I could have written you a note. I would have said you're too well to attend the PTA meeting.

I just know there's gonna be a concert DVD/blu-ray of this tour....can't wait for that!

If they come to Hawaii I'm going for sure, glad Christine back. America played here the other week and they were awesome!!!!!!!! So yeah Fleetwood Mac get your ass over here in Hawaii!!!!!!!!!
