Spike Lee is reportedly directing “Spinning Gold,” a biopic of Casablanca Records founder Neil Bogart, who helped launch KISS, Joan Jett, the Village People and disco diva Summer.

Justin Timberlake has signed on to play Bogart.

I dunno if Ive seen her act before, but in terms of look and someone who would do Donna's voice justice I think she'd be a very good choice to play her.

ok who does her make-up?

With some refinement, I think that talk show host Wendy Williams would be an excellent and better choice - but I am thinking for portrayal of Donna Summer later in her life. That is, should a biopic ever be made about her life exclusively. She made a heck of a comeback in the last ten years of her life and it is still too unbelievable she's gone.

I could see Kelly playing Donna. Defintely a strong resemblence. Just make sure all the songs are lip-synced to the originals. Don't allow her to butcher Donna's songs!

It appears Kelly Rowland has her sights set on a new movie role - dropping a not-so-subtle hint at who she would like to play.

The 33-year-old singer posted an Instagram on Sunday of her looking exactly like Donna Summer.

She is wearing a wig with long tight curls, bangs and her makeup is reminiscent of the disco queen.

Meanwhile, Kelly, who is expecting a baby boy in the fall, isn't slowing down in the career department.

In addition to vying to play Summer, the star launched a new designer watch line earlier this month entitled The Kelly Rowland Canteen Bracelet Special Edition.

Kelly and her husband and manager Tim Witherspoon are expecting their son in the next few months.

During an interview with FOX411 in July, the When Love Takes Over singer accidentally revealed the baby's gender.

'We're very excited,' she said. 'So far, everything has been good. I just feel like the baby is already [spoiled] rotten–like literally, my Caress family has gotten him all of his little bathing stuff, his toys. It's just so cool.'

Kelly and Tim have been together since 2011 and were married on May 9 in Costa Rica in a secret ceremony witnessed only by their closest friends and family.

Well if resemblance is a facotr she's won half the battle.

As for that Bogart movie god I hope Martin Scorsese is directing.

One of my vivid inner life fantasies is to put together a movie version of that book "Hit Men" with Martin Scorsese directing. Like a Goodfellas meets music industry payalo type thing.

I believe if she TRULY was a fan or influenced by Donna Summer in any way she will do a great job.

I honestly think if B wanted it, Kelly would give it to her. Kelly seems to enjoy being in B's "shadow" which is something I never understood about her. It is nothing wrong with being a loyal friend but if she would just break away from her and the DC brand and become her own artist people might would take her more seriously. Kelly seems more geniune overall to me. I would love to see her portray Donna Summer, I am here for it!

Awwww, I thought the topic mentioned Kevin Rowland instead of the insipid Kelly - I'm so disappointed, Kevin playing Donna Summer would be truly inspired casting!

I think Kelly's just used to staying in the back while everyone gives Beyonce all the attention and shine. I remember when Kelly was promoting her last album and said in an interview how she's cool with not being a big star because she wouldn't like having to compete with her "sister" hahaha Beyonce and her Dad really did a number on poor Kelly.
