Equal parts overly sensitive and bought her own hype.

The ironic thing is that she proudly proclaimed on 60 Minutes that she has studued fame and understands it. Yet had she really understod fame she would've realized that artists come and go and the public is fickle. The only part of fame she seemed to have grasped was how to generate PR.

I thought she said that the point of the blood in her performances was to show the world the death of her fame. She might not have used those exact words.I remember her talking about how people just wanna see success die.

she's busting my balls with that post-2011 whinny attitude and the antics, from "I'm gonna get fat to see people's reactions-get publicity" to now this "Tony Bennett/I wanna be a mother-perhaps I should retire" circus; rolleyes

after Born This Way she seems to have lost her way, that album had some messy tracks, but overall it delivered

Artpop was a failure, yes, because she f needs to understand that the world is already GETTING tired of synths and crap

she's can be a GREAT organic pop-rock artist, I hope she lays down synths-drum machines in the near future

Lady Gaga is having a sook because she thought she was the new David Bowie, but she was actually a second-rate derivative of David Bowie. Sorry Gaga, but whacky costumes can't substitute for a personality.

She actually is an accomplished Julliard graduate, so she does have a lot of talent musically, but she doesn't have good artistic vision (imo) and favours "weird" over "interesting". The thing about weird is, you have to live it, or it's going to come across as fake.

MJ, Freddie Mercury and David Bowie really seemed like strange intriguing guys with loads of charisma and eccentricity. MJ seemed like a guy who thought sleeping in a hyperbaric chamber was a good idea. Gaga seems like a lady who thinks wearing meat as clothes is as weird as I think it is, and that's why she's doing it.

With the legends, their eccentricities are part of their personality, with Gaga the eccentricities are part of her stage show, and unlike Alice Cooper she takes herself too seriously for me personally to play along with her BS.

With all due respect to Tony Bennett, the only reason he's big today is because he's more or less the last man standing. I haven't listened to much of his work, but from what I've heard, he's competent, but he's no big kahuna.
