Writing about a Kate Bush concert must be like trying to describe seeing a parade of unicorns… so unique and unexpected that you don’t quite know what to make of it all.

.

lol But be that as it may, you did an excellent job! Thanks for your perspective.

.

Personally, I hope this experience inspires her to do more live shows sometime in the future. cool

.

That tourbook... love So much better than most tourbooks, and it costs less!

I think it's Bertie in the back

looks like she's back to having "celebrity status" confused

I saw her getting out of a car the other day bear kings cross and I freaked out slightly. Hounds of Love is such a classic, can't wait to get more of her albums and hopefully get to see her live one day.

It's clear that Militant has been stunned into silence. :-) Hard to imagine where she could go with any future shows after this.. I think she's vented her need to present the Ninth Wave, so it really wouldn't surprise me if this is the last we'll see of her on the stage. I hope not, but I have that fear. Maybe Bertie will push her further...who knows?

What I saw last night was truly amazing. A masterpiece of performance art. I'm still trying to process it all. Kate took us all on a real journey. The sets, the visuals, the band, THAT voice.....
Phenomenal.

It's hard to pick out highlights from a show that is 90% theatre, but if I had to , I'd highlight "Running Up That Hill", " Under Ice", "Waking The Witch", " Nocturn", "Cloudbusting" and "King Of The Mountain".

I really enjoyed Bertie's solo performance, " Tawny Moon " as well. Kid has a great voice.

I know there's not many shows left, but if you weren't able to get a ticket, get down to the venue and wait in the standby line. I noticed a few people doing that yesterday and I believe most of them were able to get in.

I have friends on another message board who have had last minute success by refreshing the Eventim page. They say they usually pop up in the early afternoon UK time for the show the next day. I believe these are releases of seats held by the promoter, just in case the Queen wants to come with ther entourage, but even Her Majesty has to put in the request a day early.

It's been quite a parade of celebrity to see the show so far..we all know Kate has courted certain people throughout her career, but of that group only Miranda Richardson and Stephen Fry have been spotted. Where's Lenny Henry? Robbie Coltraine? Adrian Edmondson? Apart from those luminaries, a wee list here for you: Kiera Knightley (papped by yours truly in the queue!), Bats For Lashes lady Natasha Khan, Terry Jones, Alison Moyet, Annie Lennox, Johnny Depp, Holly Johnson, Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen and David Gilmour. Let's see what the closing night brings...a piano and guitar set with Prince doing 'Why Should I Love You' followed by a reprise with Peter Gabriel of 'Don't Give Up'. One can dream.
