Janet Jackson's Best Music Video

Like the topic says, what do you think is Janet's best music video of all time? Mine is Alright. It's such a fun, colorful tribute to the musicals of the past with some awesome cameos.

The Pleasure Principle would be a close second.

Also, if you'd like to vote for your favorite videos of hers, there is a poll over at http://www.rankopedia.com...h=69574764 which I just created. Anyone can vote you don't have to be member or anything and you can pick 10 of her videos to rank.

Not my favorite song but favorite video : "Together Again"... I love the aesthetics, the sets, the colors, looks and makeups.yhe same "aesthetics" can be found in the "Runaway" and "Got Til Its Gone".
I really love the early videos, the dancing/ choreographies are really great but the videos themselves haven't aged well and sometimes corny.
Everybody is somebody, but nobody wants to be themselves.

All her videos from 1986 to 2001 were great. I love the look of 2002's Son of a Gun but they ruined it with way too much Missy.

Her best is without a doubt Rhythm Nation but my favorite is Because of Love. I love the footage from the janet tour that I never got to experience. All her videos after the All For You era were mediorce except Rock With You and Make Me.

Rock With You is definitely my favorite after the All For You era. Make Me was pretty good too, but I think I like All Nite (Don't Stop) a little more. Music videos in general have all gone down hill IMO in the 2000s on. The golden era was the 80s & 90s. Not a lot stands out anymore.

As y'all know, I'm partial to them all lol, but my faves are Pleasure Principle (one of her most iconic), Nasty, Rhythm Nation, Escapade, Love Will Never Do..., If, Twenty Foreplay, Got 'til It's Gone, Every Time, and All Nite.

Now this is a hard Question cuz the Range of Ms. Jackson's Vids is just plain awesome....The FIRST vid that came to my mind was Escapade....She looks so Gorgeous walking & dancing in that amusement park, wearing her signature Black...No special effects or anything just a great song and the perfect Vid to sell the song...Janet has always been a very Confident & Capable Entertainer...

I wanna add "Love will Never do (Without you)"...Once again, no special effects just Beautiful Janet and a Model (I think Tyson)...I need to find out who wrote and produced that song...The Bass is amazing, that song is the JAM and someone should record it. I Love Macy Gray's version when she paid tribute to Janet during the MTV ICON ceremony...

Jam & Lewis wrote and produced that one. They also recorded an alternate bassline during the sessions.

It was actually Djimon Hounsou. The guy she's dancing with is Antonio Sabato Jr.

LWNDWY is one of my faves off of RN too. Jimmy and Terry toyed around with getting Prince, Ralph Tresvant or Johnny Gill to sing the first verse, but ended up just telling Janet to sing it in a lower register.

Sometimes when I listen to "Funny", I start humming "Lady in My Life" and it's almost identical. Oh well, maybe it was just the same energy that both of them had that made it sound alike smile

Nasty - the movie theatre, looks that could kill, that street outfit, hard dance moves
Love Will Never Do (Without You) - Herb Ritts making everyone beautiful. Points for being better than Madonna's "Cherish"

Alright - any cut of this is great, the narrative, the clothes, the movement through the sets

If - classic choreography paired with the iconic 1993 look
Rock With U - my only beef with this is that it is not very well lit, but really interesting dancing

All Nite (Don't Stop) and So Excited look identical to me lol
