FKA Twigs is my shit. I've tried to hype them a couple times previously at the org and I don't remember anybody showing much interest. In a weird way, that's alright, because I kind of don't want everybody knowing about them just yet (and I say "them" because the music is produced with another guy whose name I can't remember or find at the moment). But on the other hand, I want them to succeed so I can (hopefully) get many years of great music from them. So, up above is their new jam, "Two Weeks". I love it to ridiculous levels. Hope some of y'all might feel the same way.

she's so good! she's so freaking good. insanely talented and unique. it's a damn shame that dreck like bruno mars gets so many responses yet a new, truly fresh and unique artist gets ignored. her album is going to be incredible.

Whoa now! That's prime Rephlex era you're talking about, and one of my all time favorite album cycles (the singles and EPs from it are brilliant, too). FKA Twigs is great, but different. I must say I don't at all mind the comparisons to RDJ (Aphex Twin) and other artists from his label (Rephlex). I would be more than happy with a return to that particular style of electronic music (so happy Rich has a new album on the way).

I'm perusing her stuff on YouTube, and she's interesting. "Two Weeks" suggests she's headed into more melodic territory, which I like. Makes her stuff somewhat more singable, while I trust she'll retain a strong avant-garde vibe.

I'll definitely have to keep an eye on her. Thanks for this tip.
