What were the last albums you were really disappointed by (from bands/artists you usually love)?

For me, these two albums were a big letdown:

Oh, and this as well:

Usually love Drowning Pool in all their different incarnations, but this album sucked

I completely agree with this one. I'm still listening to it and haven't given my final verdict on it yet, but after listening to it about 5 or 6 times so far, there are only a handful of songs that I really like and the rest are unmemorable or just plain bad. Blunderbuss was a much better effort. Maybe this one will grow on me, and maybe my excitement pushed my expectations waaay to high, but as of right now I feel like he missed the mark.

The Rainbow Children & Musicology are the only P albums that deserve your money, everything else just belongs to the trash.... Can't believe P,, he completely lost everything he had.

Well, I was disappointed by Bruce Springsteens latest EPs, he was trying to be cool again, he isn't, its like, stop doing it Bruce, you're old now....

It's easy peasy, MoSub. In the reply window, you click the 'tree' icon in the second row of icons above where your typing your message. It's in the middle, right next to the omega. This will take to a small pop-up window where you can insert the URL of the image you want to hotlink to.

.

The last time I was disappointed by a favourite artist of mine was the below:

.

.

Love Chanté, was excited to put this record on, but it did nothing for me. Nothing.

I don't want your rhythm without your rhyme

Oh.yes.I.did. They all sucked to me, with TRC disappointing me the most because it was the catalyst of what unbeknown to me at the time, would become years of disappointment. The truth just is.

It makes me sad to say this but "Comet, Come To Me", the latest from Me'shell Ndegeocello was a bit underwhelming. Usually her albums are "growers" so I'm hopeful, but the production quality felt inconsistent like a set of b-sides.

In reference to my username, I have to say that I was pretty disappointed in this album as well:

.

.

I thought The Life was heaps better. 'Stingy' was one of the very few good points on this album.

You left out Musicology and 3121 because you like those albums at least, right? Me too. I don't revisit the ones you posted either!

Vanessa Daou's latest album is by no means bad, but unlike all previous projects, it didn't bowl me over...

I love Chante Moore but unfortunately, the only good thing about this album is the cover photograph.I'd love to see her go into the studio with a truly soulful producer and create something as magical as her first two albums.

I must agree with you on Chante Moore. It was very UnChante. It disappointed me

so much I didn't either bother buying it. Indie Arie's last album although not as

disappointing as Chante's was a little underwhelming too. It was her first misstep

as far as albums go imo for Ms. Arie

Adorecream

Apart from Prince, I can't even remember the last time I bought a new release hit album, all the albums I have bought have been old or greatest hits collections.

.

Probably Kanye's Late Registration but I really love that, so the one that stands out would be the Id by Macy Gray (2001), I was into her before that came out.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Chante is a very classy artist. She deserves better, stronger material as opposed to the run-of-the-mill "trendy" R&B sounds that we heard on that album. Her first two albums had a moody, jazzy feel throughout.Very sophisticated sounds! I'd love for her to go back to that.

Madonna- everything after Music (Confessions being the exception, but I don't love that album that much)

Prince - Planet Earth, MPLSound

Megadeth - SuperCollider

Springsteen - everything after The Rising (2002)

Judas Priest - Nostradamus

Aerosmith - retrospectively, everything after Pump (1989)

AC/DC - Black Ice (ugh)

Axl Rose's Fakes N' Roses - Chinese Democracy (or every damn Slash album)

Depeche Mode - Sounds from The Universe / Delta Machine

Janet - everything after the Velvet Rope

Michael Jackson - Michael

and I'm disappointed that Roisin Murphy hasn't bothered to release a new album since 2007

Hmmmm.. hmmm

1. Anything by Prince after 1994, except 3121 and the Lotusflow3r CD from the set (not the other 2 CDs)

2. The Cure - anything after Wish

3. Madonna, ( her last 3 albums )

4. Lady Gaga, Artpop
