New Roots song.

'Tomorrow'. Really like it - sounds like it's going to be a great album! http://www.spin.com/artic...ur-cousin/

Nice song.

I always wonder why they have to be in Jimmy Fallon's show? They're on their own a talented band and Questlove is a professional producer.... It's not like they just wanna be on TV? Or they're bored so they wanna do something? These guys could've been like Coldplay or Mumford & Sons if they had their own image... What's the last hip hop & soul band to go mainstream? The Fugees?... These guys deserve to be famous.

Not only have they been around a long time,(more than 20 years) but,The Roots have travelled all over the world. The fact that they have chosen not to go, "Mainstream" and have chosen just to blaze their own path, just lends credence, to that success. They are at a point in their careers, where they can choose to do things like be Fallon's, "House band". Not every band that has talent, needs to go, "Mainstream"....

Being on a popular TV show also gives them a nice paycheck and media exposure they wouldn't have otherwise...

.

The song is okay I guess, but the outro should have been the bridge. Still, I'm looking forward to this album, because I love 'When The People Cheer'.

I do love when the people cheer.

This. nod As of right now, they are the best house band on any night time talk show. Even Fallon's guests give The Roots their props when they appear on the show.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yeah, 'When The People Cheer' is a good song, love the gentle melancholy sound.

Must be, Quest has like 3 cribs. lol.

They would be dumb to ever quit.

Proud that they don't do the obvious Prince imitation.

I'm intrigued. It's not mind blowing, but I do like the effort at expanding their sound.

Yup, paycheck.

Being a musician is so inconsistent in terms of income. I bet it's really nice for them to know they're getting the same wages every week for however long they choose to be on the show. And it'll be good pay too.

.

They could do this and just write/release albums instead of touring. Some musos get sick of the touring life and being away from their family/friends.

Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

I believe Adam Levine and Usher have a tv show they are on. They do it for the exposure.

The roots have never gone full on mainstream, thus, they couldn't be the next Cold Play or whatever.
