April 21st
Link

Maxwell is gearing up to embark on his first headlining outing since 2010.

The singer has announced the dates for his upcoming North American trek, officially dubbed the Summer Soulstice Tour.

The 35-city tour will begin June 14 at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, WI and its scheduled to conclude August 17 inside the Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, NM.

The singer will travel to major U.S. cities including Orlando, Austin, Boston, Cincinnati, Nashville and Los Angeles, where he is scheduled to perform during this year's BET Experience.

It's likely fans will hear new martial from the crooner, who is putting the finishing touches on the follow-up to 2009's BLACKsummers'night album.

Fans can expect the forthcoming project, titled Summers, to be released at the end of the summer.

Tickets for select venues are available now via TicketMaster.com.

I might catch his Santa Barbara gig. Now if only he'd drop a new album this decade.

I just want the new album. With the price I'm paying for the Fleetwoood Mac concert ticket for later this year, I will pass on this.

Saw Fleetwood Mac play last April. They are awesome live! And with McVie rejoining, you're in for a fantastic show.

This is what he said on twitter two weeks ago:

"please don't ask me where my album is it's the last thing on my mind right now thank you"

So if he's not releasing the album any time soon, I guess touring is the best thing for him to do from a fan's perspective. I just wish he would come to Europe too.

That quote was in reference to a close relative recently passing away.. In moments of grief, you don't think about trivial things, like an album.. It will be released this summer.

Thanks for clarifying his comment. With respect to the long-overdue album, I hope that there will be a summer release.

He also tweeted the album will be out for the 2nd leg of the tour. Sounds like a late Summer release.
