Lady WhoreGa Trying Too Hard To Go Urban

Doing that song she did with the king of modern r&b... now i just saw she did some shit with T.I and Too Short. Who even plays Too anymore? but gangsters? and TI talking about catchin a case on a snow white girls album? NO

She's trying soo ahrd to be in the urban crowd it's disgusting. First she was a wannabe Prince, bowie, Springsteen. Now, what? she wanna be the next Bobby Brown? the next R. Kelly?

When J-Lo was hood it worked better. Cause, she had swagger and a great voice. GaGa got an average ass voice. And, trying to be urban. It's sick!!!! please tell me why so many pop stars do this crap.

oF COURS You can't have a GOD like Kells on a song. And make it poppy as hell.

What about Mariah Carey turning to Rap after her first couple of albums were pop light.

To hear Mariah tell it she was promoted that way for maximun exposure. Can you believe she didn't want to do her now classic Christmas album? She felt it was too Julie Andrews. So she wanted to go urban before she did. Add to that the very controlling nature of Tommy Mattola who she foolishly married, and you have a recipe for pop first, urban last. Plus if I must she is half black. She has an "in", like Drake.

No this song is not quite r&b, it still has its traces of pop just slowed down. Turn the bpm up a few notches it sounds like anything else on Artpop.

I think you should listen to the album it fits right in with the weird sound.

There is another song now she has with T.I. and 2 Chainz I think..now that one is one to throw up your firsts about

Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Gaga has always been urban. Her first single, "Just Dance" had Akon on it. There was a song with Flo Rida on her first album. Her second release had collaborations with Beyonce, Rodney Jerkins and Teddy Riley.

This is a serious troll thread.

THAT! folks only want to have selective memories when they want to prove a point. I'm a huge fan of the more soulful side of Gaga and that's what initially made her appeal so much to me years ago. she's pop with that urban edge.

Cuz its all theater makeup and fake. Just like her alleged "urban" debut. Unless urban means gay bars in 14.

Just because she does a song with a R&B artist doesn't make it an Urban song.....now Katy Perry's song with Juicy J is definitely an urban song. And Florida is really pop/dance. Get Low was his only urban hit...the others were bigger but not urban per se. I like Lady Ga Ga but her pairing with R&B is not having the exposure they expected. Some good songs on her cd too but folks don't seem to be biting

Ugh! I have 2 laugh every time J-Lo tells an aspiring singer on Idol that they "have pitch issues." LOL! It's like...how tF did SHE end up judging vocal talent? What a JOKE! :-O

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

hah!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/14/lady-gaga-sxsw_n_4963216.html

Lady Gaga at SXSW.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Lady Gaga kicked off 24 hours in the spotlight at South By Southwest in typically memorable fashion.

The pop provocateur began her appearance at Stubb's BBQ on Thursday night during the annual music festival and conference by roasting herself on a spit like a gutted pig as her dancers basted her with barbecue brushes — and then things got really weird.

Part S&M sex club homage, part affirmational session, the show sponsored by Doritos to benefit her Born This Way Foundation included moments meant to provoke and others meant to inspire.

Gaga began the evening by taping a segment on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in which she wore a puffy white dress complete with a huge hat that mostly obscured her face. By the time she hit Stubb's a little after 10, she'd stripped down to a black bikini on an unusually chilly night at the outdoor venue and wore long blonde dreadlock extensions. She'll finish her moment at SXSW on Friday morning when she's set to give the conference's keynote speech.

Gaga's set began with an attractive woman eating barbecued sausages in a provocative manner. Soon after completing the smoked meats portion of her hourlong show, Gaga invited friend Millie Brown on stage to assist on "Swine." Brown, a "vomit painter," proceeded to drink a full bottle of neon green liquid before forcing herself to throw up on the singer as she played drums.

The pair then climbed aboard a mechanical bull-like pig equipped with a ball gag and a keyboard. Gaga straddled Brown atop the pig and played the keys as they bucked in circles. Brown then painted Gaga with a black liquid that stained the singer's skin throughout the performance.

The entire show wasn't meant to titillate, however. There were moments aimed at inspiration.

"I love my fans because they always let me be myself and they don't care what anybody says," Gaga told the crowd.

A little while later she set up her somber song "Dope" with a self-reflective moment.

"It's so much easier to be yourself than it is to be somebody else," she told the crowd as she played melancholy notes on the piano. "Because then you have to pretend to be someone else and like things that you don't like and do stuff that you don't want to do."

This is so funny

First, are you serious saying that J Lo had a great voice? Are you really conscious? Are you aware of what you saying?

And second of all, Lady Gaga is a better singer than most of her peers including Rihanna, Katy among others, you don't believe me? Go see her stripped down versions where she plays piano singing her songs in an honest delivery. Gaga is a good singer and you don't need to be a glorious vocalist (You have to be far above average also) to succeed in the buisness.

As for her music, it is then a matter of taste, I like some of her tunes while other crap she does and shit ruins my day, plus, Artpop is very bad (Only Do What U Want, Dope and Manicure are the only highlights). I guess she'll never top her The Fame monster era... around 2009/2010 when she was the big deal.

Well, why yall mad she gone R&B???!!!! What's with that? Aren't we supposed to admire artists who touch different genres and try to be as much as versatile musically? David Bowie did a whole album with disco and funk sounds (That's was black people's favorite cup of tea at the time...) and way before that Young Americans included soul elements, even Luther Vandross singing back up vocals.. That was when David Bowie was Rock music's best individual.

I myself don't like JT doing R&B and I have a reason (his voice doesn't FIT it), but one can't deny his songs on the last album contain so much grown R&B and soul music with really good arrangements.
