Jack White for next years Super Bowl?

No, this hasn't been announced. It's just me thinking in advance that he could be a great act for the halftime show. It seems most people loved Bruno because he's a true artist/musician/entertainer. I think Jack White is brilliant and would kill it. He has a lot of hits that everyone knows. What do you guys think??

Jack is a fantastic musician and entertainer. But, i think the super bowl picks peeps with a lot of hits. That's why i think Chili Peppers could have been a perfect ''rock'' pic for super bowl by themselves. They have lots of pop hits as well as arena rock hits. As for Jack, himself solo he has no notable top 40 hits. And he only had a few with The White Stripes.

Of course top 40 doesn't determine greatness or anything. But Super Bowl picks people that lots of popular and regognizable songs. Hence why they had Prince, U2, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, Bruno Mars, Tom Petty, Michael Jackson, Madonna etc.

If I was NFL I'd choose him immediately.

They can put him alongside Coldplay or something, the dude rocks and will bring it.. I'm here for that.

I agree, Jack White would kill it but unfortunately, they will pair him with a more popular, bigger act for political reasons.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I hope they're thinking about this, but for some reason my gut says they'll risk it with Gaga.

I bet it will be a country music act. Or maybe Macklemore if he keeps making hits.

I could actually see coldplay doing The Super Bowl. Clocks, Viva La Vida, Paradise, Yellow, In my Place etc. Are very big arena rock hits that could get a crowd going.

I'm just sayin they could be a good fit. I would much rather them over Maroon 5 or One Republic lol

This would be a dream come true but they would probably pair him with a more well known act.

This isn't a bad idea.

I'm sure they have more hits in them, and Mack himself puts on a competent show.

I say sign Macklemore!

I agree but please don't say Maroon 5, even as a joke. Lets not give anyone any ideas. That would be dreadful if they did it next year.

7 Nation Army would rock that stadium. He could definitely carry it off.

Well I see it as more than financial reasons. We all know those shows aren't about the most talented act to hire, it's all about popularity plus those dollars.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I could picture it now. It would be insane! Can we sign an online petition to vote for him as next years act?

lol Easy, they were fun when they first came out. They didn't sound like any other band. Their music wasn't quite pop but not quite rock either. You could jam and get a flow going on with it without feeling like you were listening to guilty pleasure music. Now....they are singing about "moves like Jagger"...urgh, if I hear that cornball song one more time when I'm at the gym my ears will bleed.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

That song is the pits. Ithink they sold their souls when they recorded that mess.

If all he has is Seven Nation Army & Fell In Love With A Girl to play as his hit songs than NO but it would be a great choice just for the riskiness of it all.

Maybe they can throw in Blue Orchid?? Those 3 songs might be just enough for a half time show.

It will be either a classic band/act or the top pop artist of the previous year.

I doubt they are trying to preserve musical integrity they want viewers and $$$

and after agreeing to air the Sodastream commercial with Scarlett Johanson they have no integrity but I doubt anyone expected any.

Don't forget Icky Thump. That was their only top 40 hit in the US.
