Sounds good smile ... Better than all his stuff in 20/20 Part 1. Tho it's more Marvin Gaye than Off The Wall MJ?!

I really like this track. Gives me a justified vibe. Hope all of the tracks from the album have that vibe.

this is not a solo MJ, this is the Jacksons, especially Destiny album.
"Take it over 'is taken from the Things I Do For You. But I like it. cool

Justin Timberlake has released the single "Take Back the Night" off the next installment of The 20/20 Experience after teasing fans in a video earlier this week. The teaser video featured Timberlake holding up cue cards à la Bob Dylan with the release dates of his singles and albums, and ended with a blurred date for the next single. The song – which harks back to Michael Jackson's Off the Wall era – is the first from The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 and is now available on iTunes.

Justin Timberlake Clever Michael Jackson Tribute in New Song “Take Back the Night” (Listen)

justin timberlake

Justin Timberlake does a clever mini Michael Jackson tribute in his new single “Take Back the Night” from “20/20″ part 2 due September 30. It comes in at around 2:30 here. Listen — “Wanna Be Starting Something” and a line about “Michael Jackson/can drive you crazy.” Nicely done. Between this single, JT’s first 20/20 album and “Get Lucky,” it’s really the summer of 1978 all over again. Disco lives. I never thought that would happen. But it’s like a breath of fresh air. This reminds me of George Benson’s “Give me the Night.”

Great song.

The 80's are cool alive. JT is an 80's baby, that's why he is keeping that funk alive.

Upon first listen it sounds like a lost track from the Jacksons' Triumph album. It has all the elements of another #1 hit for JT. I'm so stoked for the new album.

I can dig it, but it's not a favorite on first listen. It's a step up from "Suit & Tie," but most of the tracks on the last album are better than this.

The beat is nice but as always, the vocals from this guy are just so damn limited and mediocre lol This song would sound great with a better singer on it.

The artwork for the new album is essentially the same as that of the first 20/20 Experience, except the background and phoropter (the eye care instrument) are black and gold instead of white.

I wish I could hear what others are hearing. This sounds weak and ultra derivative to me. Reductive even.

comparing this to off the wall is a joke. michael used real instruments on off the wall this song is so generic and plastic and throw in justin fake black wanna be vocals gives it even more of a fake. i like justin i just wish he would create something thats totally justin no tributes to michael prince nobody i wanna know what his sound his faklvor is.

I have yet to pinpoint the exact song that the synth riff recalls. I am more focused on the overall sound.
